But ever since the Nexus One was released in US, I knew I had to wait until a android phone was released on the Telstra network here in Perth.  Being Telstra, I figured I&#8217;d be waiting forever.<\/p>\n<p>I have been following android for maybe a year.  I really believe android will give iPhone a run for it&#8217;s money.<\/p>\n<p>Well the wait is finally over.  <a href=\"http:\/\/exchange.telstra.com.au\/2010\/04\/09\/telstra-previews-its-first-android-htc-desire\/\">Telstra have announced<\/a> that they are releasing the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.htc.com\/www\/product\/desire\/overview.html\">HTC Desire<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I am hanging out for it&#8217;s release what a great phone.  I have been reading <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smarthouse.com.au\/Phones\/Mobile\/T7U3W8E8\">reviews of some of the differences<\/a> between the Nexus and the HTC Desire.<\/p>\n<p>Both feature the below<\/p>\n<p>* 3.7&#8243; (94mm) 480&#215;800 WVGA, AMOLED capacitive touch screen with pinch-to-zoom capability<br \/>\n* Android\u2122 2.1 (\u00c9clair)<br \/>\n* microSD\u2122 memory card (SD 2.0 compatible) supports up to 32 GB<br \/>\n* 5 megapixel color camera with LED flash<br \/>\n* G-Sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor<\/p>\n<p>Pros between Models<\/p>\n<p>Nexus One<\/p>\n<p>* Active noise cancelling mic (over standard style)<br \/>\n* Speech to text (where the HTC doesn&#8217;t &#8211; out of the box !?!)<\/p>\n<p>HTC Desire<\/p>\n<p>* Optic tracking (compared to a trackball)<br \/>\n* UMTS 850\/2100 MHz &amp; HSDPA<br \/>\n* HTC Sense<br \/>\n* ROM:112 MB &amp; RAM:576 MB<br \/>\n* 1400 mAh Rechargeable Lithium-ion battery<\/p>\n<p>To be completed . . . . .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been in the market for a new mobile since December, when I ran out of contract.
