I&#8217;ve found an business that was unable to stream Foxtel.  During the researching of the issue, I determined the CDN&#8217;s (Content Delivery Network) hostnames Telstra use.  Below is that current list;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td>e3260.a.akamaiedge.net<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>foxteldashvod01.akamaized.net<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>foxteldashlive01.akamaized.net<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>foxtel-prod-elb.digitalsmiths.net<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>foxtel-prod-events.digitalsmiths.net<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>foxteldashmtgmpxlive01.akamaized.net<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>foxteldashmtlive01.akamaized.net<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;m fairly sure only the destination port of 443 is required, but I did end up going to all ports, due to not being aware of the final couple of new URI&#8217;s I discovered different to <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.whirlpool.net.au\/archive\/9rvj7r5n\">https:\/\/forums.whirlpool.net.au\/archive\/9rvj7r5n<\/a> shame I didn&#8217;t switch back to only https.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I did contact Foxtel support explaining the issue, attempting to resolve the root cause of the issue &#8211; and release the incorrect IP block on the CDN &#8211; but I was told numerous times &#8211; that it&#8217;s obviously our internet provider.  Sure, that&#8217;s what RST packets must mean!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Client sends <strong>TCP SYN<\/strong> to <code>23.211.125.112:443<\/code> (Akamai \/ Foxtel CDN).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Server replies with <strong>SYN\/ACK<\/strong> \u2192 TCP handshake established.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Client sends <strong>TLS ClientHello<\/strong> (wants to start Foxtel Go session).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No ServerHello<\/strong> received. Client retransmits ClientHello several times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Server sends <strong>RST<\/strong> (reset) \u2192 connection forcibly closed.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This happens repeatedly across multiple Foxtel IPs (<code>23.211.125.x<\/code>, <code>23.193.252.165<\/code>, <code>52.64.93.134<\/code>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No matter how hard I tried to increase the this query to <strong>Telstra network engineers<\/strong>, I simple was told <strong>No<\/strong>.  This meant I needed to arrange with the ISP to change the routers static IP address.  So if you&#8217;re with Vocus and have the 49.255.18.xxx and you&#8217;re reading this, you likely need to arrange a new address like me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hope this helps someone else out there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Keep the stream going.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I know I don&#8217;t want to use Foxtel, but apparently someone does.
